Creative increase, GFR decrease 2 years after donation

I donated a kidney in December 2019. Today I got blood work done for my annual check up with the kidney clinic and my creatinine has appeared to increase quite a bit (97 —> 122) and my GFR has decreased quite a bit too (68 —> 52) over the past year. I have my check up appointment next week where I will find out more, but I am wondering if any other donors experienced this. My numbers were improving after donation but this setback in kidney function has me worried.

Hello, I am a kidney transplant patient. Doctors explained to me that creatine depends on alot of things how much you drink water, activity previous days and alot of factors. So one lab with higher creatine does not mean anything. Drink alot of fluids aprox 3 liters daily and repeat the blood test.

I think you're on the right track meeting with your doctor (hoping it's a nephrologist). They will guide you in the most appropriate pathway for YOU! Good luck. Please post back here what was discussed, if you feel comfortable doing so.
