For me, donation was a way to feel empowered and be a part of the solution. It was an amazing experience. To say a

amazing does not imply easy, it was not easy. Testing, waiting, surgery, recovery all have their own peaks and valleys, but at the end of the day, I think I got more from this experience than my mom who received the kidney.
