Get a tracker like MY Fitnesspal and track your food. I did it for years. I was down to 30 grams of protein. I do not eat meat, so it was easy. Ask your doctor what level of protein you need because it varies by size and gender.

No it is not..... it is a food tracker. YOU can put whatever you want in it and it will track your protein.

what happens if you just have a plate of vegetables

Well, there is protein in brocolli. If you love veggies and fear you are not getting protein, then add a protein powder to stuff. You really need a visit to a renal dietician. Every person is different so what works for me may not work for you. I notice you ask a ton of question on all the forums. Do you have a nephrologist?

yeah, but everyone says low protein is the way to go, before I got proteinuria I was using whey protein a lot that might have caused my proteinuria.putting more strain on my kidneys.

Protein does not by itself "cause" proteinuria. Protein needs to stay in the body - every cell in your body requires protein. Something, an underlying condition, is making it leak into your urine. It could be cancer, hormones, organ misfunction, high or low blood pressure, infections, or whatever. Please see your doctor and ask questions and receive guidance. It's not wise to self-diagnose and think you are correct.

yeah, I also have locally advanced prostate cancer finished treatment 2016 rt/ht and my testosterone has never recovered, which has also caused osteoporosis and now I have proteinuria, gp said the renal team said it could be my b/p that has caused it but they are not concerned, they said my b/p is average what kind of answer is that and why no meds..a high protein diet can stress the kidneys.
