Hi Savreen. Wonderful news! I'm sure your little girl means the world to you. Who knows what the future holds - perhaps you will be able to add to your family by one means or another. Stay positive!

I think you should talk with your doctor and nephrologist regarding a future pregnancy and your health. I don't know much about a pregnancy and how it could effect your kidney function and the health of this future baby.

I'd like to add that if your medical team indicates pregnancy is inadvisable, there is a wonderful resource, Resolve.org, which can help guide you on your way to resolution - either through surrogacy, adoption, acceptance, etc. Although events can make us feel powerless, we can put ourselves in charge. And that leads to positive outcomes. Here's the link: resolve.org/.
