See Mr. Kidney's advice to your first post.
It's important to get tested to see what your GFR is kidney.org/atoz/content/gfr. Foamy urine and swelling can be signs of kidney disease, but a blood test for GFR will determine if you have kidney disease and if so what stage of kidney disease you have. Dialysis or transplant would be needed when your GFR is 15 or less.
I am stage 4 kidney function my GFR is 28. These were my first symtoms i see my nephro Aug 28th do you think my kidneys have worsened with those symptoms. Thank you. Patrick
Many people do not experience symptoms until their kidney disease is stage 4. It's wonderful that you have an appointment with a nephrologist scheduled. You will learn more then. To help you prepare, write down a list of questions you have so you make sure you get all your questions/concerns answered. Here's some common questions you might want to ask to get you started: kidney.org/newsletter/your-...
