Hello, I just wanted to ask whether I can be referred to a different specialist if I'm not happy with the one I've got. Do we have the right to do that?

You are allowed to choose any hospital ( and obviously any consultants working there ,IF he will see you) However you will HAVE to make your own way there and back. whatever disabilities you have there will be no transport provided.
I live in Bristol and had a referral (for cancer) to a London hospital at my own request.
Being disabled in receipt of Pension Credit (Guarantee credit) I had hospital transport provided on several occasions in both directions when ill from chemo and post-op; and cost refunded when I chose public transport or self drive.
