I was diagnosed with chiari 1 malformation last year. Luckily I have no symptoms, however, I am such an overthinker, I have been reassured many times that complications only ever occur rarely and people sometimes go on with life without even knowing they have the condition. As of right now I am really scared I have a CSF leak. I have no symptoms of it or no signs. Sometimes when I get a runny nose I automatically assume it’s that. My runny noses’s are not watery or drippy it only runs down the nose but it’s not watery or doesn’t drip constantly it’s more so just a normal runny nose that with one wipe it goes. So I’m just really worried. Can anyone give some advice please? What to look out for the CSF leaks. I get headaches but my headaches are ALWAYS and ONLY on the left side of my head I only ever get them there every single time. They are not frequent. However, for the past 2 weeks I would say they have got frequent and I’m not sure if that is because of the heat. But other than that I only ever get headaches rarely , I would say once every 1 and a half weeks if that. But what can I look out for? Is it common to randomly get a csf leak with chiari 1. I have no syrinx no problems with my vision. I have had everything checked. Please any advice?
