My husband has nasty tinnitus but informed no treatment as nerve infused with skull healing. He has white noise device and hearing aid but sadly cant wear due to impact it has on fatigue that then other symptoms wipe him out.

Have you had referral to ENT, GP can do to investigate before worrying about the What Ifs.

Hi. It sounds more like tinnitus and possibly some sensory overload. I have hyperacusis and certain sounds cause pain in my head and lead to nausea and confusion. You could call the Headway helpline on 0808 800 2244 and you could also take a look at this link for tinnitus:

You could ask for a referral to a hearing therapist. I was referred to my local neurological rehabilitation service by my GP and the doctor there got a hearing therapist to work with me.

Best wishes.
