I'm really desperate for some pain relief now. I've tried everything that my gp and specialists can give me. Really painful in the lumbar and sacral spine due to trapped/compressed nerves.
Surgeons won't do any more work, saying I could be worse off.
The next level of pain relief is morphine, but that's reserved for cancer patients only over here.
Any suggestions?

I'm on fentanyl patches as I can't tolerate morphine I've been in chronic pain for 20 years . You could ask for something like patches to try.
I find that's best for me no more extra pills I already take enough with all I have to deal with.
Look up butran I think they are called they are morphine patches they were ones I started on. Fentanyl are stronger ones. .

I'm so very sorry to hear about the pain that you're in. That makes your quality of life diminish very quickly. I have no opinion on the medication as I'm allergic to just about everything they try on me. And being in pain for me is much better than not having a heartbeat. I've learned that a physical therapist and a chiropractor and a good masseuse are some of my best friends. It may not last long but again it's what I can use. If you can get 5 minutes of freedom or relieve some of your pain and maybe worth a try, again? your particular success will end up being a combination of many things.
