I’m 5 weeks pregnant and this past week I’ve had on and off diarrhoea, it’s not all of the day but most days, is this normal during pregnancy or a sign something is wrong? Thanks in advance x

Hello, I had this and it turned out to be pregnancy vitamins. Once I changed brand it stopped. Congratulations!! Talk to your gp if you’re worried
Thanks Jess, I read that too but I’ve been TTC for about 6 months so I’ve been taking the same pregnancy vitamins with folic acid in since about June last year which my doctor recommended.. which is why on this on occasion I didn’t think it could be that. Thanks for your response x
All perfectly normal - it's basically a form of morning sickness. Just keep yourself hydrated. I had it on and off throughout my pregnancy with my youngest. With my eldest I had the complete opposite and I'm not sure which one was worse 😆
Hi Gem, that’s really reassuring, thank you! And yes, I’m not sure which one I’d prefer.. neither are particularly pleasant 😆 but I’ll take it all if it means a healthy baby by the end of it! I didn’t imagine how much I’d be worrying about every little symptom or lack of symptoms!! So glad I found this NCT website so I can speak to lovely ladies that have been through or are going through similar things! X
Welcome to motherhood! It's the best and I wouldn't swap my boys for anything but the worrying starts as soon as you get that positive pregnancy test and lasts a lifetime. I hope you have a healthy 9 months. Your little one will be here before you know it!

Congratulations lovely. It can be normal hun. I had the same with this pregnancy at the beginning. Just keep your self hydrated. If it gets too much. Contact your Gp. X
