I’ve just found out that it’s most likely I’ll be induced around 37 weeks due to baby measuring small. I’m 32 weeks at the moment.
I’m pretty sure my partner will not be allowed to attend until I am in established labour (3cm dialated). Is this the case? Has anyone who could tell me more been induced in the current situation with the rules regarding partners etc?
Thanks in advance x

Hi there, yes I was induced and my partner dropped me off at the antenatal ward then he was supposed to come when I was in established labour 4cm I think, but mine progressed quickly. Do you live far do you live from the hospital? Make sure he's ready to leap in the car if not already in the hospital grounds in the car as inductions can be quick in my experience! p.s. Take a charging bank for your mobile so you can text him/call throughout the induction.
Oh wow, I see! I would hate for him to miss it but luckily it’s my first baby so hopefully I won’t go from 0-100 without warning. Yes, we only live about 10 mins away from the hospital.
Thank you for your input, it’s been helpful and congrats on your little one!
Hey, I was induced 3 weeks ago and ny partner dropped me off on the Monday to start induction with pessery then the next day I was transfered to the labour suite and he was able to join me once I was there, I thought it was when I was 4cm but he was allowed as soon as I was moved and they were going to break my waters (at 3:30pm), I started contractions around 4pm and had my little boy at 3:55am. Good luck! xxx
