Hi I've just been for my 31 week midwife appointment and have been told that my platelet count is low (103). They have taken urgent repeat bloods today and have said that if it falls below 100 then I will be sent to the hospital, it was indicated that it would be an urgent referral rather than waiting for an appointment.
Midwife didn't really give me much info other than may bleed more and bruise easily and could be why I've been tired.
Has anyone else had low platelet count?
Why do I want to chew sponges?
