"The pain that I will experience after the gruelling 26.2 miles is nothing in comparison to how Myositis sufferers have to deal with their debilitating conditions on a daily basis!"

I am running my 6th London Marathon for Myositis UK because funds are needed for vital research

This charity is very close to my heart as my sister was diagnosed with the disease at the tender young age of 6 years old and the charity was founded over 30 years ago which is still run today by my parents and their members, providing support to sufferers, their families and providing vital funds for continuing research into this terrible disease.

Rather than writing pages of detail about how this awful disease impacts the lives of sufferers, I shall simply put it into context quickly by saying that the pain that I will experience after the gruelling 26.2 miles is nothing in comparison to how Myositis sufferers have to deal with their debilitating conditions on a daily basis!

Every donation that is made to support me will be going straight to the charity so if you are able to spare a fiver or a few quid I would be extremely grateful!

Well done David, I hope you manage the distance without too much pain! Best wishes Wighton

Thankyou to you and your family for doing this. We need Research, people are suffering with these diseases and im a firm believer that the answers are out there.

I think you should post on all of the chronic pain forums not just this one, as we all understand what its like to live with constant pain.

You have my Total Respect for even trying !

I will gladly give a donation. x
