Me too! My favorite character in the movie, Quint. You have inspired me to watch it, yet again! Have they ever released it again on the big screen? I'd go see it! They are doing that with Dirty Dancing this summer I heard.

Ian Shaw did a show where he played his dad.
He looks a bit like him but not as handsome (cries softly)

My husband saw Jaws at the theater with his dad as a boy and had an appendicitis attack while there.
They went to the hospital where he had it removed.
The next day, they told him to get up and walk.
He did so and his staples burst open as a result of a pre-op injection given in the thigh muscle, which he said felt like being hit with a hammer.
When he went to walk, the thigh cramped so severely, it pulled the staples and his intestines were held back with one hand while his other hand held the IV pole.
His mom happened to be walking up the hall to see that.🤯
He eventually made it back to the theater to see the rest of the movie...like ya do when it's a good one

I saw the movie & freaked out for an entire summer over swimming in pools and freshwater lakes.Toilets were no walk in the park either!

I saw Jaws with my bf at that time. I had to run into the theater lobby to avoid seeing the first bloody scene. Manage to watch the rest. My bf's car was parked in a dark little parking lot head into a row of hedges and vegetation. This huge dog came flying out of it barking and snarling! I was screaming for my bf to quickly unlock the door and got in the car just as the dog was slamming its body against my door! Land shark!!

I was on Bing, and it showed a picture of a Lemon shark. And I wondered who came up with that name for a shark. And I learned that the shark's yellow coloring serves as camouflage when swimming over the sandy seafloor in its coastal habitat. You learn something new every day.

So true! I just saw this morning that one of the news anchors on FOX went snorkeling in the ocean & several sharks came up to them but didn't seem to bother them. He even touched them. Their guide told them that because he was in their environment they don't get too bothered if people are there.

It might be in Fox Nation that they stream. I don't have that. I live in the boonies where we barely get internet let alone streaming. Sometimes we can't even get cell phone service! When we first moved here in 1993 our phone line was a party line shared with 3 other people!

Shark meat is okay. I buy it when on sale from time to time. I like to grill it. A little EVOO spray, lightly salted and peppered. HealthyHeadline: "Man Eats Shark" Great with a plate sized salad!
