Welcome to this forum, charlesmagig ! When I go for an infusion, I usually bring my tablet. It has lots of games, books, and has access to the internet so I never get bored. And bring your mask. I don't think that you should be scared. If you have any concerns, let your medical professional know. Keep Smiling :-D

Try not to be scared! Relax and know that you are taking action against this crazy MS monster we fight!

A small blanket is nice to have a with you, along with water and a good book!

Walk in the park. The benedryl will make you tired for the most part of the day. Don't drink too many fluids before you go so you can reduce trips to the bathroom dragging your drip bag. Allow about 6 hours to complete the process. I'm usually the first one in last one out. I get a private room with a tv, which is nice so I can snooze away the day. I bring a book, laptop, newspaper and I pack my lunch. They will give you an uncomfortable chair to sit/recline. So ,get settled in and enjoy the rest. If you have any questions please ask.

I have had 5 of these infusions and all have gone well. I usually take my phone and charger. The benadryl they give me usually knocks me out, but they check on you every half hour so you are woke up frequently. They also have a TV. It is an easy process.

You will be good. I know the first infusion is scary especially not knowing what's going to happen. I had my fourth infusion last month and it went well. Just relax and make yourself as comfortable as possible. You will get through it. 👍🏾🙏🏽

Hello! It’s ok to be a little scared; it’s a new experience. I’ve only had two infusions and I just had them both this year. January was different; before covid. And this past October second time; during covid.

I would call ahead of time if you are able too; to make sure what you are allowed to bring.

I called ahead of time to ask only because of restrictions with covid. It gave me an opportunity to talk to the actually nurse who was going to be there; broke the ice a little. Helped with my anxiety some. 😊

Blankets, pillows aren’t allowed where I went.

Phone and charger a must, drinks and snacks are very helpful; good excuse to take mask off from time to time. 😉

Helpful hint.

Definitely a mask 😷.

Whatever helps calm you down the most.

I took a backpack 🎒

Easier to hold everything I was able to take.

If you have any specific questions I can help you with; don’t hesitate to ask boss!

Your favorite pillow in case the Benadryl puts you to sleep; lunch; snacks; and plenty of water! Also a book if there's no TV there....or even if there is! Good luck!
