For a number of years I ran a bicycling club" Old West Ends" we did weekly rides ranging from 15- 50 miles, then as an outgrowth of that club myself and a couple of other members started a bicycle co-op, wher we recycled bicycle that were thrown out in the trash, unclaimed stolen bicycles from several local police districts, and provided training on repair and maintenance of bicycles. We focused on young people, and particularly at risk young people,( we had programs through the local juvenile justice center offering classes to young people already entering the criminal justice system.I also typically commuted to and from work by bicycle, all year round. My favorite bicycle was a recumbent which I continued to ride for about 10 years after diagnosis, and the developemnent of foot drop and the loss of sensation in my lower legs and feet, with the aid of a homemade brace attached to the right pedal, which kept my foot from slidind off the pedals, and there-by making it possible for me to stay on the pedals as I rode ( tried to include picture of bike and brace, but alas couldn't get pictures to take. Thanks for your attention Robert

Yes I know that story well wish I could have gotten that picture to upload... the little homemade "AFO " allowed me to ride my recumbent for about 10 more years before it just got too bad. thank you for sharing Robert
