Good morning

Just had to share. Yesterday I called the small town senior center to ask if they had a shuttle service to Kalispell, where my first neurologist appointment is located next month......200 miles from me. And to my surprise! They do!!!!! They will pick me up at my door. Wow. Feeling much relief and thankful. It was a "shot in the dark"----that worked. I also called the neurologist to let them know my transportation situation, so they where aware of my time restraints and update them with my medical issues going on. Smiling and feeling relieved this morning.

Yes. It is. I live in small town, Chester. Which I prefer small town......except for medical care. Lol.

Oh what a great relief! I normally would like to drive anywhere..but 4 months into this, I am using a walker full-time and my hands are so numb....they are almost useless. I also live alone. So this is REALLY great for me. Thanks.

Well done! Way to go Kallispell Senior Center! Nothing like that here. If I can't drive myself, or find a friend or neighbor to drive me, the charge is $350 for a less than 100 mile round trip. I know because I had two such trips. Ouch.

I have searched high and low for options. Learning alot. My state, Montana also has a program...if you have to travel for doctor appointments and are on medicaid....there is a reimbursement program. Mileage, meals and motel.

I just am thankful I don't have to try to drive. Amen.

Lol. Thanks Carole. I even make a call back to help inform others. I have a contact gal that works for the state rural disability program here that tells me thanks and encourages me. Maybe I can help someone else. 😀
