Vitamin B12 deficiency can results in neurological symptoms similar to those of MS, which is why B12 levels should be tested as part of the MS diagnosis pathway. If your B12 was not tested you should ask for it to be done (your GP/PCP can order this test). However, many people who have B12 levels at the "low end of normal" will benefit from taking extra B12 and many people with MS who have "normal" levels of B12 will also benefit. B12 is not one of the vitamins which can be toxic if you take too much, and some PwMS claim that a bit of extra B12 every week helps them with MS related fatigue
mm1527mm Here is the link to the National MS Society page that describes the diseases and conditions that can mimic MS and should be ruled out. (Especially in a situation like yours where your test results and clinical exam don't seem to meet the Revised McDonald Criteria that doctors are suppose to use to diagnosis MS.)
