Not well at all. I fought the weeds and the weeds won! Time to take out the heavy artillery ~ rake, hoe, and a thing called a weed-whacker! I am keeping busy by saying 'Hi Leslie' to all the passers by!
The fact that you're doing it is great. Tell the weeds I said they need to behave the way they should!
The weeds are intimidating! Some can almost have bird nests in them!
There are some similar weeds on my place. They popped up almost overnight, tall gangly things, soon to reseed if they aren't cut down. They are too tough for my string trimmer, so I'll have to get the pruning shears and hand saws. But until we have a frost or two, I'm loathe to deal with the ticks and whatever else has taken up residence so I probably will wait as long as possible.
My philosophy, weeds are green. Think impressionistic paintings. They should be appreciated from afar. Therefore, weeds are green. From afar they look like a grassy lawn 😊
Of course it’s a different story if they are choking out flower beds etc 🙁
Weeds are all done ✅ The grass guy came afterwards last week and sprayed and fertilizer down👍. Good for a month or so as I water 💦 with canal water. It’s $100.00 a year so lots, lots better than paying for city water. 👍🙏😉 Ken 🐾🐾
Leslie I have this pretty purple flower came up by my rose bush I was guarding it, watering it along with my rose bush. I also have some yellow tomatoes growing there ... my hubby pulled it up & got rid of it when he mowed Sat afternoon. He said it was an "iron weed" & they are trying to take over his hay field!! I was mad at first then hey I can grow weeds
