I was diagnosed in March after the entire right side of my body was numb. I am on a treatment plan but I keep getting this shooting pain and tightness from my fingers to my jaw on one side of my body. The pain lasts a few minutes then everything feels numb and weak. It goes completely away in about 30 minutes and I am back to “normal”. I haven’t figured out a trigger. Has anyone else experienced similar symptoms. Is this just one of the many fun things I will experience with MS? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Newly diagnosed
I had problems with something similar prior to an official diagnosis.
For me,it was the worst feeling of all the BS MS has to offer.
I also had similar issues prior to be diagnosed. Now it happens four or five times a year and I never know when it’s going to happen? No this is not a dumb question, we are not doctors but have experience lots of different things. Always feel free to ask anything 👍🙏😉. Ken 🐾🐾
Hi sherka the only dumb question is the one you don't ask!! I have not felt that particular pain/sensation, it makes me think of Ler something but I thinks that's in the way you bend your neck. Hope some one else can help. Welcome glad to have you. Mary
I will have times when I will have numbness in my hands, arms, and face. Usually goes away after resting. Sometimes it gets worse when stressed out. Sometimes my fingers will have spasms, that is a painful experience. Usually lasts for a few minutes. So far the neurologist is not concerned about it.
I have not experienced similar symptoms. Unfortunately I did not see any recommendations for treatments or meds in the replies from real experience. Check nationalmssociety.org to see what they say.
No question is dumb in this forum, Sherka . We are all here to help each other. I haven't had what you are describing specifically but I do get spasms in my leg, and occasionally, I get spasms that affect my jaw. Not sure why. I would definitely let my medical team know of these shooting pain that you are describing. Perhaps there is something that they can do to alleviate them.
Keep Smiling,
Carole
