Until now, the numbness/tingling that I experience on a daily basis occurred in my hands/feet/arms/legs.
For the past 4 days, I have had numbness/tingling on the right side (only) of my abdomen. The sensation begins about waist level and moves up approximately 4-6 inches.
Ideas? Thoughts?
Thank you,
Carrie

No, no idea, just one of those MS mysteries I guess.
A couple of weeks ago I had vibrations start in both feet and within about 30 minutes my whole body was vibrating. Lasted maybe another 30 minutes or so. Most of my MS symptoms have been sensory things so far.
I don't know about anyone else but my ms system have gone pretty bad lately and my husband said to me our weather has been going up and down Barametic presure goes up and down I feel like I am having menopause all over again been there done that. One minute I have heating pad on them I have the ice packs. And tomorrow it's going to be 45*f then Thursday it is going to be 70*f I better have those ice packs ready.
Hi Daring_Greatly MS is so strange isn't it? I just vibrate all the time. So l can't help you with what you're going through, but make sure you write it down and keep track of it. If it gets worse make sure you call your Neurologists or PCP. ☺ Do they have you on Lyrica or Gabapentin? Sometimes that might help.
Daring_Greatly it's Fancy1959. Since you are newly diagnosed it is sometimes hard to figure out your MS symptoms and your MS in general. When you have changes in your MS and they last more three or four days let your neurologist know. Especially if the symptom is painful or disrupts your day activity.
long ago, my nurse at Cleveland Clinic called the numbness "souvenirs"... We've all got them and sometimes they travel around depending on MonSter activity... After 30 years, my newest ones are much more troubling now that there are lesions on my spine, but I just keep on keeping on battling every day... I AM A WARRIOR!!! xo Cj
Daring_Greatly , I love your name! I'm so glad you're here where you'll find lots of support and information. Your neurologist should know of the changes, as others have said.
Could be what is called the MS hug. Google the term and see if it applies to you. I too have tingling and tightness around my abdomen. It comes and goes.
