Waking up to numb feet and legs is something I'll never forget because it is my new life, and I also remember the second flare-up that went all the way to my waist. But that was not as scary because I road out the first one with no steroids or anything and learned it will not go completely back to normal. It it would get better over time . It took six months and then I was left with just numb feet and. Tightness around the ankles. I think the hardest part is that I have never had a days rest in my mind without thinking about MS in my body.
Yes i was miserable MS constant reminder mine lasted a month ankles were swollen cane walking awkward falling couldnt tie my shoes couldnt sleep comfortable at all contant tingling very tying time
I believe that everyone of you who have experienced not being able to walk and have persevered anyway have incredible strength!!! I always consider myself fortunate since I'm still able to walk.
I can still walk. Each morning I wiggle my toes to check for numbness/tingling. decide if my legs are gonna hold me for trip to the bathroom.. Thank goodness for the walls to help guide & support me.
Lay24 r u in the hospital now? Sending you blessings!
Lay24 , I'm so glad you're past that one! Every day in which I can still do anything is a blessing. The contrast of not being able to walk with the few deficits I have now make each day all the sweeter. The deficits remind me to keep praying for us all, however!
