Has anyone had injections into muscle in sole of foot and leg to help drop foot. I have had this for 25+ years.

Hi there

Apologies for the delay in replying. I don't always have access to a computer & having problems with dexterity makes navigating sites via my mobile phone difficult.

I have heard of botulin injections to treat several medical conditions, including muscle spasticity in patients with multiple sclerosis - a neurological condition that has symptoms very similar to myelopathy , but I have no experience of it myself.

Do you have a diagnosis of cervical myelopathy as myelopathy itself can cause problems with dropped feet & poor gait & balance in later stages? If so, any problems with your neck would need treating first to see if symptoms improve. After that, because I am not a doctor I am not in the best place to advise. I would have thought a referral to a neurologist might be appropriate if you haven't seen one already.

Apologies for not being much help

Kind regards

Shirley
