I am a 48 yr old male and just recently I have developed this problem where I get patches on my body that really burn and itch. the patches vary in size that subside and disappear between 45- 60 minutes when another area pops up. They rarely appear on my face and is mainly on my arms, legs, buttocks and torso but not all together. Arms and legs are normally in pairs not just one at a time. If I didn't know better I would liken it to some sort of contact rash but it is not. Any thoughts anybody?

Burning itchy skin in patches that subside after about an hour then pop up again somewhere else on my body. Can anyone help.
Hi amos64,
You really need to see a doctor to get an accurate diagnosis, but it is possible that you have some type of urticarial condition. Click the following link for info about urticaria/urticarial-like conditions.

Hi
I had the same patches of burning rash moving around my body & it was due to me being allergic to dairy & eggs..maybe it is the same for you amos64 ?? I had to work it out for myself as I didn't have much luck at the doctors..good luck
I too have had burning and itching and, eventually large blisters. This turned out to be Bullous Pemphigoid, which is an autoimmune disease The Derm net NZ website is a mine of information
Have you been to a doctor yet?
Have you changed your washing powder lately? It could be something like that. I originally started to itch when I bought a new car and it was because I am allergic to formaldehyde and it had been used in the car. I had obviously had Bullous Pemphigoid for a long time and the rash often comes before the blisters
Good Luck!
