my daughter may be prescribed medication for her acne. i have forgotten the name of it but it has quite bad side effects.

I think I know the one you mean andie but I can't remember the name of it - something like roucatane? That seems to be a common treatment nowadays but the side effects can include depression but I am sure the doctor wouldn't prescribe anything which could react with any other medicine she is on. As a lifelong sufferer of acne with the resultant scars I hope your daughter will use the help available now which wasn't there when I was young.
