Hi, yes my husband has peripheral psoraisis and he also misses dovonex as his skin is worse since it became unobtainable. Any alternatives?

My dr gave me something called tazarotene gel 0.1, I have posted another comment about on this same site to see if anyone else has used it.

There must be something wrong with it. It's working too well! within a week of putting it on every second night just before bed it had gone back to my regular flat skin with no scales just a bit pink. It seemed to burn the skin around the psoriasis a bit like peeling skin from sunburn but it didn't hurt and I just rubbed it with a rough sponge from boots (£1 bit like a scourer, rough on one side sponge on the other) each day

I have just put it on tonight for the first time in a week just to maintain and it seems to be working a treat - this is week 4

Maybe it's just because it is new after many years of dovonex but I'm not complaining

The other thing is that my skin is getting thicker again after many years of using a steroid

Think they may have done us a favour in theming run stopping dovonex although didn't feel I at the time

Cheers

Jon
