Hi Leah. Sorry to hear you have this. I’ve just been diagnosed with this myself after many years of misdiagnosis and frustration.
I’m finding it very difficult to find information that is helpful about this condition. It’s definitely had a real impact on my life, my confidence especially.
I’ve never noticed a correlation between certain foods and flare ups. I’m a professional chef by trade and try multiple food groups continuously. If I were to pin point where I have noticed a relationship between increased numbers of cysts forming or existing ones becoming inflamed I would say it happens mainly when I’m very stressed and anxious. It always seems when I’m about to start a new job or having a highly stressful period in my life it worsens. This however could be merely coincidental.
Also I would love to talk to as many people as I can who have this condition. I have lots of questions myself and as I said, I’m finding it very difficult to find information that is helpful. Just how rare is this? Does anyone know?
Leah thanks for your post, feel free to message me for any advice and I have questions too. And please anyone out there with this I’d love to hear from you.
