Have just been diagnosed with Bullous pemphigoid in the past month and wondered if there was any information about this condition.

Hi Mike, I had Bullous pemphigoid diagnosed about 12 years ago. The blisters started around my ankles and eventually were all over the soles of my feet. I was put on steroids. It took about 2 years before it totally cleared up. Fortunately, I have had no symptoms since. Be patient and I am sure you will get better but it may take 2 years.

Thanks for your reply Anton. I hope that you are clear of this horrible complaint for good. Like you I have the blisters all over the soles of my feet also my ankles, legs , and arms with an itchy rash over my body and on my scalp. I have been on steroid cream since I was diagnosed 6 weeks ago and my doctor has now put me on steroid tablets. I am hoping to see some improvement shortly.

Hi Mike, when I got bulbous pemphigoid I found the British Institute of Dermatology website the most helpful. At that time, twelve years ago, the starting does was 30mg of prednisolone per day. The high dose did cause some cataract damage in my eyes! Hope this helps,Antonbarga
