I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about 6 months ago, have tried several antidepressants and currently on cymbalta— not helping.
My doctor basically told me all that’s left is to lose weight as “I could stand to lose 10-15 pounds”. Has weight loss helped anyone? I’m technically in a healthy weight according to my BMI, tho I’m just a few pounds shy of being in the overweight category.
I ask as I have eating disorder tendencies and have a hard time losing weight without finding myself falling back into these bad behaviors. I don’t want to hurt my mental health more by trying to lose weight if it won’t help much.
Thanks!

From what you've said, I say - don't worry about your weight.
If the doctor is saying that's all that's left, that is more like them giving up on helping you and putting all the onus on you.
I'm all for healthy eating i.e. natural foods home prepared, avoiding junk food and not having sugary drinks. But as far as actual "dieting" goes, forget it.
What helped me was learning to use my body better.
Focusing on the right muscles, taking the stress of the wrong muscles.
Gentle movements to release tensions and restrictions on my body, working towards regaining a full range of movement. Slow Pilates, gentle yoga, dancing ... anything
I've written a fair bit in these posts if you are interested.
I was very overweight and lost 4stone and yes it did make an enormous difference to my health/fibromyalgia which you would expect. However I think the thing that helped the most was doing yoga. It’s not an instant change but as the months went by I found I could move more easily and the pain was reduced. Definitely worth a try! Good luck.
