My ankles on both sides/both legs swell almost daily, and I don’t know why. My doctor had me do some tests, and I came up potentially hypothyroid. I have to go back for more tests in about a week.
I also take Lithium Carbonate and Paroxetine (Paxil).
I’m working on elevating my feet when I can and being more active. Besides fibromyalgia, I am also dealing with obesity, with a BMI of 39.5 😳

Is your doctor testing you for any heart problems, diabetes, etc??? I think those are two important conditions to check into. I'm concerned about your ankles swelling up! Please keep us posted.
She did check my glucose and levels had not changed, but she didn’t ask about my heart. I also have really severe fatigue. The swelling has been going on for a few months now.
It’s been a while, but I ended up being diagnosed with fatty liver and diverticulitis back then when I had the swollen ankles; then, just over 7 months ago, I was diagnosed with breast cancer for which I just finished treatment. I suspect the swollen feet way back then was my liver just being overloaded and unable to rid my body of all the toxins it was trying to clear out. My functional medicine doctor agrees. I’ve since then lost 80 pounds and quit alcohol and meat. I’ve reversed all my conditions (prediabetes, diverticulitis, fatty liver) and finished cancer treatment. I haven’t had any symptoms of my fibromyalgia in a while either. Doing much better these days.
