Taxol and eating/drinking soy products?

I'm reading anti cancer, and it states there is an impact on the efficacy of taxol if soy products are consumed. Does anyone know about this? I'm trying to find things to combat the menopausal symptoms hence the soy! Thanks

Do you mean David Servan-Schreiber's book 'Anti-Cancer, a new way of life'?

I can't really help because I haven't been on Taxol, so I have never had to research any interactions. Does David give any references that you could check out?

Hi , there is some evidence that the genistein in soy can interfere with Taxol, so I would avoid soy products. I don't specialise in the menopause, but I do have factsheets on cancer if you would like any sent.
