It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our much loved Co-Founder, Pat Pilkington, who passed away peacefully on 19/08/2013

Pat lived a life of open hearted generosity, of love and care for all who met her – be it for an hour, a day, or a lifetime – teaching us how to live well through her example.

She will be missed by everyone at Penny Brohn Cancer Care even as her legacy continues through the services and support we offer to people living with the impact of cancer.

This is very sad news. Pat touched so many hearts and lives. I was privileged to have spent time in her company when I attended a Bristol Approach course in February this year. We were all spellbound as she shared her life story with us. Her legacy will live on in all of us.

God bless Pat. An truly wonderful, kind and generous lady, an inspiration to us all. It's been a privilege to get to know her through her wonderful, amazing and always so entertaining Book Club meetings and of course the precious time she spent with us on The Bristol Approach.

I saw her give a talk at a meeting near where I live. I'm glad I did, I thought Pat was amazing. You could feel her energy and she got everyones attention immediately when her opening words were 'Can you all reach your tears?'. I can imagine how much missed she will be by those who knew her.

Her kindness and concern helped many. Now, she is at peace in a far nicer place than the one she left. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of many. I never knew this lady, but she certainly appears to have helped and inspired many people. A giving life was hers now richly awarded in Heaven.xxx
