Hi Ruthi, I’ve just bought this book after reading your post. I’ve read ‘The year of magical thinking’ & ‘Blue Nights’ by Joan Didion and would recommend. I’ve also read quite a few about palliative care and glad I did as my husband is in a local hospice at the moment. Thanks for posting the book, I look forward to reading it as I’ve found reading helpful xx

yes I am going in a long train journey and thought it would help as struggling a bit with the travelling on my own xx

L have read it.

One might anticipate from the title and that this is a true life story from the wife/caregiver , to it's invevitable conclusion, that you might need a few tissues handy while reading.

Actually I laughed a lot, including out loud. But then again I have MSA
