Thursday Chuckle

A park ranger was giving a talk to a party of hikers setting off on a trail through the Rockies. He said

"Bears can be dangerous, of course, but remember that most kinds of bear are afraid of you. The easiest way to deal with bears is to carry something, like a small bell, to make a noise. That'll usually scare them off. If they do come close you can spray their faces with pepper spray, which stings them but doesn't do any harm"

One of the hikers asks "How will we know what kind of bears are around"?

"Good question" says the ranger. The best way to tell is to examine their faeces.

Brown bear poo is small, about the size of a tennis ball, and usually has the bones of fish and small animals in it.

Grizzly bear poo smells of pepper and is full of bells.
