Does anyone else experience an uncomfortable cramp like pain in their heart in bed at night when they lie on their back.

Also pins and needles in their arms which wakes them up with the severity? I have been experiencing this for a while, is it just another symptom?

Do sometimes get similar pains and also fluttering sensations. They don't last very long. Got PV.

For me, yes.

Yes............... only when I lie on my left side. All medical people have ignored me to date! Yes to pins & needles in hands, feels like they will drop off when it wakes me up. I have ET and am on Anagrelide/aspirin

Thank you for your replies they are much appreciated.

Have you had your heart check for Atrial fibrillation as I have recently been diagnosed with this and my consultant believes that along with my PV this was the cause of my stroke last year.Probably not this but worth getting it checked out.

Thank you for this, I have actually been thinking for a while of taking myself off to the docs for an overall check up. Funnily enough I never visit the GP as I tend to blame everything on my ET and just assume there is nothing can be done. I only ever attend Consultant appointments for my blood, daft really!!!!!

I have an ongoing issue with heart flutter / palpitations and have been put on 24hr trace in the past. It happens infrequently and intermittently so is very difficult to pickup in a trace and nothing showed. This issue seems common with fellow MPN'ers. I always mention it to my Consultant and GP but I don't think a lot can be done about it.

Get the chest pain regularly, Get the very painful legs, burning feet, lightheadedness, extreme spleen pain daily. On 500mg hydrea and 81mg aspirin. Some days the leg pain is so bad I stay in bed. Also have very excessive sweating when I am more active like fast walking or cutting the lawn. It's impossible for me to work in hot weather.
