Hiya,

Well I was diagnosed 16 years ago and started in Interferon for 5 years then felt alittle poorly on that so went on Anagrelide for 6 months but had palpitations on that. Now been on Oral chemotherapy hydroxycarbomide for 9 years. Keeps platelets at bay but certain side effects. Hope that helps and wishing you well

Hi Brianna, treatment for ET will depend on various factors, I would advise you to read the information we have on ET on our website mpdvoice.org.uk/about-mpds/... this explains about how ET is diagnosed and then the subsequent treatment of it.
