Hi Stigmark
Don't panic, as long as you have a good heam consultant and you have regular check ups,
it is less scary than it first seems. We have all been there and are here for you.
Good luck with your appointment and ask everything on your list, take someone with you as there is alot to take in on your first visit.
Best wishes Melanie
my appointment is the 17th but im tired not eating more brethless than usual it just seems one thing after the other and im not good at coping with stuff at best of times
Hi, please don't panic until you know for definite. I am only recently diagnosed and found it all scary and still have my moments. I have drawn a lot of strength and information from this forum and mpd voice website. Perhaps I am lucky but I seem to be close to getting into a routine with my pv and accept that I have bad days and good days. Remember you are definitely not alone - there are great people on this forum. Aime x
Hi Stigmark. As has been said, we've all been there and in some ways still are. However, please don't panic. See a good haematologist, as they have more understanding of these conditions than the usual GP. The fatigue and breathlessness come with the territory, but with time and good treatment, you can overcome these. I know it's easy to tell people not to worry, as we all deal with things differently, but there is hope. You need the haemo appointment and a real good friend to talk to whenever you need to. There's always us on here, too! Try to think positive if possible - it will help you feel better in yourself. Good luck.
Hi Stigmark, it is very understandable that you feel this way, being told that you have a MPD is quite a scary time, but we are here to help and support you and answer any questions you have, please do not feel that you are alone. If you feel you would like a buddy for some support please email me at maz.cd@mpdvoice.org.uk and I can put you in touch with someone who has PV and will be able to help and support you from the perspective of someone who knows what you are going through. Kind regards, Maz.
