Does anyone else with E.T experience low blood pressure, nausea and dizzyness after flying abroad?

Hello,

Do you mean it is the actual flying or being abroad that is the cause?

I don't react to flying, whether it is domestic or international and I don't have any other problems when abroad. In fact I feel much better when abroad than here in UK....

Sometimes I suffer from dizziness but it is random and not connected with travelling, for me.

Maybe it has something to do with your ears if it is caused by the flying?:-)

Hi Swede,(great name!!) Yes I mean actual plane journeys. Most trips I take, then 24hrs and I'm feeling dreadful. My ears are fine no problems there. Thanks for your reply, very rusty and new to emailing.

Hi

Traditionally I have low blood pressure, though it now appears to be on the low side of normal. I have suffered from dizzy spells on and off for many years.

I haven't flown since i've been diagnosed, but I did find that being at altitude made me feel really horrible, sick, dizzy and apparently I looked v pale. It took me a good 24 hours to recover, but this all happened while walking up Snowdon. I put it down to the altitude and my ET, but when I asked my consultant about it, but he said I was just having an off day and was nothing to do with my ET!

Hi, I can really relate to how you felt, I feel there is a link with our E.T, it's so typical of these consultants to assume there's no link and we are just having a bad day, especially when our bad days are due to E.T!!! I also have low blood pressure like yourself, I currently take propanalol which apparently lowers the blood pressure but on these occasions of being in a plane it dips very low.

Good to hear from you , thank you.

Hello,

I have all my life had low blood pressure and I am now on Propranolol.

When I questioned the Doctor about this, his answer was that for me it wouldn't make my blood pressure any lower, just preventing it from going up...which is good thinking.

I can't say that I have had any more problems with low blood pressure after starting to take the medication. Before I had problems when quickly standing up or so but it is the same now.

What I did have just a few years before I became ill (or diagnosed) was a terrible terrible headache. Cluster (or suicide-)migraine as it is called. That is totally gone anyway!

If I have mentioned it before I am not sure, but I sometimes feel that I have more side effects from the medication that the actual disease!

PS. Swede refers to the country not the root vegetable...:-)
