I had a stroke in March this year and was diagnosed with PV. I saw my heart specialist and was told there's a possibility that I have the same thing as you do. I am now going to be fitted with a heart device to monitor my heart rhythm and if it's confirmed that I do have Atrial Fibrillation, he told me I would come off of Aspirin and go on Warfarin.

Hi Hollymae, the advice from Prof Harrison is that you should go on Warfarin after a discussion with your haematologist. Kind regards, Maz.

I've been on warfarin for AF for a couple of years. Obviously everyone is different but to date I have not found any problem - this is generally the case once daily dosage is balanced in the first couple of months. Unfortunately some foods seems to affect INR levels and alcohol consumption is also restricted.
