I have swelling on inside of both knees. Had ultrasound and told fatty tissue. Friend told me she was told same but had it because she had blood cancer. Is she right or just scare mongering. I have blood cancer and no mention of it from my Dr.

I have not heard of fat deposits related to MPNs. What is true is that we have issues with systemic inflammation due to the JAK2 mutation. It does not sound like that is what you are talking about however.

I was told too that with an MPN I am more prone to Lypomas (accumulation of fatty tissues in a specific area). And I have one between my shoulder and armpit and I'll need to have it removed soon.
