Imetelstat?

I just learned about this drug. There was a study that showed it to be very effective for ET in 2015. nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/n...

Why isn't this a treatment option? There was another study with ET and PV that was supposed to be completed in 2016 but I haven't found anything from that study. Now they are doing a study for MF and imetelstat. Anyone have more info or studies on this drug and why is it mostly unknown.

In ET is not a treatment option i think because of unnecessary toxicity. But in MF is promising. Look for IMbark study
