My doctor wants me to doublemne from 45 to 90, and I’m refusing to do that. I told him I want to see how I handle 60 first and the 75 before we jump to 90.

It seems only logical to go slow.

I went from 45 per week to 90 every 10 days, which I guess is the equivalent to circa 63 per week. Side effects increased for the first two injections then settled back down again.

We are monitoring this level to see if if brings platelets in line (from memory we’re aiming for 450), and I don’t think 45 per week was quite cutting it.

From what I have read, when people increase dose age, side effects increase, and then settle down again.

Good luck with your journey.

I went up from a weekly dose of 45 to 67.5 a few months ago. Initially I had a day of headaches and lethargy post injection but after a couple of months this stopped and I now have no side effects worth reporting. My blood results are good now and I haven’t needed venesection for 7 months. Long may it last 🤞🏼

If I increase doseage it makes every bone in my body ache after 2 days of injection to 5 days after. If I stick with my 45 monthly I am fine 👍 Julia

Very good platelet result I hover about 400 which happy with. Weekly interferon bought me to 260 platelets but was too high side effects that didn’t resolve . I feel healthy at this level but will increase if platelets change much however I have had sports injury surgeries causing inflammation this year so readings vary . Julia 👍

many doctor started me at 45 then increased to 60 and gradually to 75 which has finally begun to make a difference in my counts. He’s feeling that I won’t need to go higher at this point. I haven’t noticed any difference from the upped dosages. Sorry you’re having the pain. Hope it stops soon as your body adjusts.

I was on 135mg weekly and the bone and joint pains were unbearable. Down to 90mg every 2wk now, I still have pains but they are more manageable.

I increased my dosage very very slowly starting at 25 and now I am up to 50 and getting results. My platelets are in the low 500s but I am going to drop it down to 45 because I am getting headaches for a few days after the dose which I was not getting prior to being on 50 for a few months. My oncologist, and I are both happy with my results. I am wishing you the best of luck!

Yes I am same I do 45 monthly now due to the migraines weekly dose caused me . Platelets hover 4-500. But I happy at that as although platelets low on higher dose it was not what my body liked 👍Julia
