I have had an upper shoulder tattoo and across my chest.. the bleeding wasn’t an issue.. very light.. scabbed over fine and healed no issues…
All down to personal risk appetite vs living your life.. in proportion I deemed this low risk, as I do having social drinks with friends.. etc but everyone is different.. and just because I’m ok with it doesn’t mean it should set a precedent for all…
Only thing I will say is don’t let this disease hold you back and take more of you than it already has! And operate within the personal guard rails you set and are comfortable with..
All the best!
just to add.. dot work.. light shading.. doesn’t use a big needle, more just penetrates under the surface... black and colours can go deeper so will bleed a little more… and of course depends where on your body you’re getting it!
I have 6 tattoos and I was diagnosed for one, but I think I had it for a couple of them. I skipped the aspirin the day I got it to keep the bleeding to a minimum. But agree with Steve totally. The studio I went to did ask if I had a blood disorder on a declaration form.
I have two, no probs. As said above, life needs to be lived! X
My tattoo artist wanted a letter from my haematologist stating that it is safe for me to get a tattoo. The haematologist was happy to provide such letter. You can always have a conversation with your haematology team and the tattoo artist to be on the safe side. That’s what I did and there were no issues.
Have fun with planning and getting the tattoo 😁
I have been informed that tattoos seep in to bloodstream and likely toxic, but again everyone to their own.
