Hello all I have started Besremi and as of today no major side affects. Just a question I don't see this as a problem but wondering in anyone else experiencing a red rash at the injection site? This rash is not itchy or painful. Thank you all so much.

Injection site reaction is pretty common with Besremi. I have not experienced a rash at the injection site, but have had rashes pop up on various part of my body. Also some itching, usually on my back. The itching is well controlled with Claritin.

All the best moving forward.

I've not had any local reactions to the injections, started last Feb. Usually I can't even see where I poked it. From reading posts here it seems such reactions are known with PEG. As more members use Bes we will learn more on how common it is with Bes among our members.

No site reactions with either Besremi or Pegasys. May have something to do with the injecting methods people use.

Seems like this is not so unusual and nothing to worry about. Thank you

I have never had any mark in belly or thigh as I noted. I pre cool the area with an ice cube and take about 5 seconds to inject 140mcg. I can't say this helps but could be.

This is a very good tip. I am getting some replies that this is not so unsual.

Yes to a slight red patch at injection site. Was told it was nothing to be concerned about. Best wishes for your labs as you move along with Besremi!

Ah thank you so much for reaching out. Yes I didn't think it was anything to worry about but like to hear from my MPN friends.

I’d also call what I experience a slight red patch (vs. a rash). It’s never caused any problems or concerns. Interestingly, I only get that when I inject around my belly — but not when I inject in my thigh area. Good luck on Besremi!

That's good information. My injections have been in the belly I will try my thigh. Thank you so much.

I switched from belly to thigh because I would get short term abdominal discomfort from the belly shot. But it is a bit harder to watch the syringe at the thigh.

I have a bruise around the injection site about the size of a quarter.

Thank you so much. This seems to be pretty normal for many of us. I hope you getting good results on Besremi.

yes with my first peg injection. Itchy & red now 6 days after injection. Tea tree or Aloe Vera calming mine slowly & hoping it’s just body getting used to the shock of an invader it never met before 🙈
