PV and weak wrist

Hi everyone, can I ask if anyone suffers with weak wrists with PV,, on occasions my wrist just goes with weakness and a pain shoots through it does pass soon after until the next time it happens again, it's normally over as soon as it starts feels bit weak for short time then back to normal, if I think back this has been going on for over a year now but have always dismissed as age etc like other systems that are now PV related since recent Dx, not sure if its related or to mention on my next appt as at weekend it happened and pain was worse than usual and lasted couple hours , may not be related to PV at all and may need to speak to GP instead as it can happen with slightest movement does not need to be any thing strenuous , just wondering if anyone else has this

That sounds rather like a tweaked nerve. Maybe a paresthesia, which is MPN related. Definitely something to take up with your care team for input. May or may not be PV related. Could be something else too.

I would note that I have experienced something similar. In my case in the thumb joint and tendons above the wrist. In my case, it is tendonitis that has been so intense at times that i could not hold anything. Curcumin, recommended by my rheumatologist, has resolved the symptom to a large degree.

Hope you get an answer to your situation soon.

Morning Hunter thankyou for your reply, I will definitely mention at my next appt, been one of those things you just dismiss all the time until now you realise maybe we shouldn't be dismissing things anymore, have a good day

hi Cityreach, definitely speak to your GP about this to have it investigated as it may not be related to your PV. I hope you get it sorted out. Best wishes. Maz
