Well after changing hospital and consultant about 8 month ago I have a change of medication I was on Hydroxicarbimide 2500 daily. I have now changed to Anagralide. Only had 3 doses feel a little fuzzy headed and lethargic. Does anyone know how long it takes to get in system as hoping this is all I will have as side effects.

Thank You

Hope your all well 💖

I was changed on to Anagrelide from hydroxy a few years ago. It took a few weeks for my body to get used to it. I got quite a few palpitations at first, now I only get them occasionally about 2 hours after taking them. I take 2 twice a day. However Anagrelide controls my platelets really well and they are in the normal range, only go up or down slightly now and again. I am anemic but I don’t think that is to do with the Anagrelide. Hope all goes well for you.

Thank you for your reply I'm hoping these work as Hydroxicarbimide seemed to stop and at let's were all over

I also had palpitations when I first started A Anagrelide. They subsided after a few weeks and I have never had them since. Good luck
