I live in Doncaster and was wondering if there are any mpn specialists in the S Yorks area, or is London the closest. Thanks Karen

Mpn specialists
Here is the list.mpnforum.com/list-hem./
I live in Rotherham and am under Dr Alfred and Dr Went at Rotherham hospital, both are good but not sure if they’re mpn experts. However, I haven’t seen either of them from well before the pandemic as, at present, my ET is under control, I see (telephone consultation) the specialist nurse.
I used to see an MPN specialist team at the Royal Hallamshire in Sheffield but that’s over 10 years ago now so I’m not sure who is still there - they probably still do have MPN specialists. We also have an excellent MPN team at the Leicester Royal Infirmary, where I am now, if that’s any good to you.
Hi. I’m in Sheffield and am under Dr Francis at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital here in Sheffield. He’s very knowledgeable about MPN and he’s their‘specialist’. Professor Snowden is also there still and he’s an MPN specialist too, but I don’t ever see him. Other than that the only other Specialist nearby that I know of is Prof. Somerville over at the Christie in Manchester. Good luck. Garry.
Hello Karen - I’m not seeing a specialist at the moment -my haem is a general (I’m ET JAK2+ also with lymphoma) - feel confident enough for now to monitor myself, but my 1st choice for referral will be Tim Somerville at The Christie in Manchester (much as I’d love to be with Claire Harrison, London isn’t really an option for me) - very best. Anne-Marie.
