I think your best bet would be to talk to your GP. Symptoms are not necessarily related to our MPNs and this could be something easily fixed when diagnosed.

I got vertigo when my Hydroxy was increased. Although I'm back to just 500mg a day, can't tolerate higher doses, I still get the odd bout. Doc has given me Betahistine dihydrochloride for when I need it.

The short answer is that ET can cause dizziness/lightheadedness, but so can other things. That includes some medications. Most doctors, including hematologists, do not know much about MPNs do to their rarity. You need to see a MPN Specialist to receive optimal care. Here is a list mpnforum.com/list-hem./ .

Do be sure to follow up with a knowledgeable provider. This bothersome symptom can be addressed with a proper diagnosis.

Hi Sheila, just some thoughts, vertigo can be a form of migraine, also have you checked B12 deficiency, iron levels.Sometimes the simpler causes can be overlooked. I used to find Stugeron helped,a travel sickness pill.Good luck, hope you are feeling better soon.

Before being diagnosed with PV I had severe, violent attacks of vertigo. They were so bad that paramedics came. After lots of tests and MRI scan it was diagnosed as migraine related vertigo which I was told is a very common problem I didn’t leave the house for months except for medical appointments and didn’t drive for a year. I found the exercise programme given by a vestibular physiotherapist very helpful. There are some exercises on line too. I also took various medications. You have my sympathy- I still have times when I feel unsteady and I hate it!

Hi I suffer vertigo and was the reason I initially went to my GP. They diagnosed PV. I've had numerous blood test, MRI, ear checks and nothing found. Once my PV was under control the vertigo became very mild and comes and goes.
