Has anyone with ET had a DVT? What were the symptoms? If so, how was it treated?

I had a DVT some years ago, pre ET. I had a very sharp pain deep in the calf muscle. It took me a while to even consider it could be a DVT and I’m suggesting that you should have it checked. With ET and an increased risk of thrombosis no one is going think you could be over reacting to any leg pain.
Mine was a post op DVT and my GP sent me straight to A & E. Within a day or two I also had severe cramp like pain when I moved my leg. It was treated with heparin and then warfarin which required weekly monitoring for the next 5 months. There are are newer meds now. I didn’t get any or the redness or swelling that can be associated with a DVT.

hello Whitehair51, you need to contact your GP about this, please contact them straight away. Best wishes, Maz
Get it checked straightaway, as Maz says!!Symptoms can vary, but often include pain, swelling that doesn't reduce after couple of hours of having leg raised above heart level, cramp or cramp like feeling, warmth and or redness....but there can be little or no symptoms too.
Hopefully it is not a dvt, but let doctors check it if in any doubt or any concerns x
