Yes, I had it last week with no problems, just a painful arm for a day or so.

Hi Lynda, I saw your post earlier today and by chance had a video appt with my Doc at clinic. I asked about vaccination and added what if I were on Ruxolitinib say. . . (I am on a small dose of immuno-suppressant )

Basically her reponse was much as I expected in that they are recommending it to all their patients: so those due to go to transplant, those recently transplanted , those on immuno-suppressant drugs like Ruxolitinib, those well out of transplant but still vulnerable.

The recommendation is on the basis they are deemed better off with it than without because it hasnt been possible to test it in all the various scenarios and it's only after the fact things might be flagged up.

Ultimately the goal is to avoid the most vulnerable catching Covid.

I think anyone with any reservation should have the discussion with their own Hem or Clinical Specialist Nurse to take account of their unique case but it's likely the answer will be the same or similar and then it's up to the individual to decide to go ahead.

Personally I will go as soon as I'm called up.

Regards Chris

I am also on Ruxolitinib with MF. My haematologist thinks the vaccine will be fine but ideally I would like a definite go-ahead for MF patients from Prof Harrison when she has all the relevant information about the vaccine.

Hello - I have MF and am on Ruxolitinib. I had the vaccine on Saturday - no problems at all, not even a sore arm. Good luck and a Happy Christmas to all. SkipperL
